An important function of the MSHP is to investigate car, truck, and motorcycle accidents that happen on roadways within the MSHP’s jurisdiction. In many Horn Law accident cases, the highway patrol report serves as part of the initial investigation. The MSHP also maintains a data base of crash reports that can be found at the Crash Report page.

The MSHP also maintains extensive annual statistics. Based on current trends, highway fatalities are down 30% in 2010. The MSHP deserves much of the credit due to aggressive law enforcement and targeted safety campaigns. Recently, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was recognized as one of America’s leading law enforcement agencies. Click here for the story.
