Doug Horn founded his private practice in November 1990 with a handful of corporate and individual clients. Since then, Horn has devoted his practice to maximizing client recoveries in hundreds of personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Before opening Horn Law, Horn helped represent large corporations, construction entities, health-care providers, and insurance companies in complex litigation matters. He also assisted manufacturing corporations to help prevent legal exposure. Horn's experience on "the other side" of cases uniquely prepared him to represent plaintiffs and obtain full and fair compensation for his clients' losses.
Horn earned his Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio in 1987. He is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Association of Justice, and the Lee's Summit (Missouri) Chamber of Commerce.
Horn devotes a significant part of his practice to highway safety issues. He is a member of the Governors Highway Safety Association and is a recognized safety advocate in the area of distracted driving. Horn also taps his legal experience in motor vehicle accident cases to promote legislative, technological, and educational advancements. He is a frequent media contributor in regards to highway safety, including radio, television, and print.
Horn is active in his church and supports a wide range of non-profit organizations, including Mother's Refuge and the Women's Clinic of Kansas City. He is also a supporting ambassador of Messiah Lutheran School and Lutheran High School of Kansas City.
