Media Professionals Doing Highway Safety Stories

Douglas R. Horn, Founder and Lead Attorney of The Horn Law Firm, has been a frequent contributor to media professionals who are doing stories related to highway safety. Horn has contributed to newspaper, magazines, television, and radio with regard to a wide variety of highway safety issues, including distracted driving, trucking safety, tips for safe driving, aggressive/reckless driving, alcohol/drug impaired driving, and road hazards.

Horn's focus as a safety advocate began in earnest after he represented a 16 year-old boy who was killed in a motorcycle accident. The tragedy occurred at a dangerous highway intersection. Two weeks later, at the same intersection, a couple suffered life-changing injuries in an eerily similar collision.

In order to make a significant difference, Horn has launched the Drive By Example safety campaign. The mission of Drive By Example is to encourage drivers to exercise the highest degree of care while driving by avoiding use of the cell phone. While many of the distracted driving safety campaigns target teen drivers, Drive By Example focuses on the adult drivers who have become the largest segment of distracted drivers.
