Medical Errors
Medical errors claim more lives each year than motor vehicle accidents and are one of the nation's leading causes of death. In a recent report, the Institute of Medicine states that as many as 98,000 people die as a direct result of a medical error across the United States. As a result, this area of legal practice constitutes a growing area of concentration at Horn Law.
Our firm has handled a wide range of cases involving medical error, including lab, medication, radiology, and nursing mistakes. There are many reasons why medical errors are on the increase, but many instances of error occur because hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, nurses, and staff are over-burdened and under-staffed. Further, patient safety is adversely effected because policies, procedures, and protocols are not being followed.
When Horn Law takes on a case involving medical error, we dedicate our full professional resources to show that the error or mistake was preventable and our clients are entitled to fair and full compensation for their loss.
If you, a family member, or friend has fallen victim to a medical error, seek legal consultation and investigation as soon as possible with Horn Law founder, Douglas R. Horn.
