Douglas R. Horn organized the The Horn Law Foundation in 2004 to support non-profit organizations. The Foundation was established through the Truman Heartland Community Foundation.

The Horn Law Foundation sponsors the annual Messiah Lutheran School Golf Tournament every summer. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Messiah Lutheran School, a private school in Independence, Missouri.

The Horn Law Foundation also supports Mother's Refuge and The Women's Clinic of Kansas City.
